Kathak is one of the eight classical dance forms which traces its origin to the Nomadic bards of ancient Northern India known as ‘kathakars’ or ‘story-tellers’. The word ‘Kathak’ derives its origin from the Sanskrit word ‘katha’, meaning story.
The Art of Living is pleased to announce to you ‘Nritya Sadhana’ , Kathak Dance Program being taught by the leading Maestro Pt. Birju Maharajji. It is a five day residential program beginning on 27th November till 30th November (Check-in on 26th November and check-out on 1st December). Nritya Sadhana ia a holistic event which includes alongwith Kathak, yogasanas, breathing techniques, meditation and Ayurveda. It is going to be conducted at the Art of Living International Center, Bangalore, India in the midst of beautiful, serene and tranquil nature. All above 17 years can participate in either the Basic level or the Advance level. The later requires a minimum of 3 years training in Kathak.
