This is rather short notice, but interesting artists are in town and we at Dance Dialogues are eager to make the most of their visit to Bombay!
DD announces two workshops next week, both leading, in some sense, to exploring improvisation. On March 12, we have Michel Casanovas leading a workshop on the Feldenkrais method, touching upon Awareness Through Movement. The Feldenkrais Method uses gentle movement and directed attention to improve movement and enhance human functioning. By expanding the self-image through movement sequences – that bring attention to the parts of the self that are out of awareness, the Method enables you to include more of yourself in your functioning movements. Read more about Michel here.
On March 13, Mehneer Sudan leads us in Ways of Moving, a structured movement session. We embark on a quest to find movement triggers deep within ourselves. We try to find our centre, watch how an impulse may move beyond the body to be translated into movement. And more. This was DD’s first movement dialogue, one that Mehneer facilitated last April; it was well-received and we are glad to do a second session. Read more about Mehneer here.
