Girish, who has been teaching at SIFAS in Singapore for 13 years now, never misses out on the ‘season’.
His friend, Chennai-based guru Jayanthi Subramaniam, lends a hand as he sets up recitals for himself and some of the dance students.
This year, Dhanya, Arivazhagan, Anupama and Meenakshi flew down too and have performed here and there.
So has Girish. He even got a prize at Krishna Gana Sabha.
On January 10, Girish will specially perform for Vyjayanthimala Bali at her house in Alwarpet.This show is open to invited guests. “We love her dance and I try and perform at her place when she is free,” says Girish.
